Waiting for… #GenovaJeans 2023! 💙

🗓 We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, September 10 from 6 p.m. to midnight for an event dedicated to jeans, music and reuse culture in the nine hectares of the enchanting park of Villa Serra di Comago, in Val Polcevera (Sant’Olcese – Genoa).

Admission is FREE!

👖 The dress code, of course, is to wear at least one item of jeans!

🚌 AMT is providing free shuttles to and from Bolzaneto (accessible by buses 7, 63 and 9) and the Valpolcevera Expo venue in Pontedecimo from 4:30 p.m. until the end of the event at Villa Serra. AMT has arranged for a shuttle service connecting Bolzaneto (highway exit) and Villa Serra di Comago. The service will run from 4:30 p.m. to 00:30 a.m. with a frequency of about 20 minutes on the following route: upstream direction, via F. Bruzzo (stop 0152 Sardorella 1/Mercato), via Sardorella, via G. Poirè, via Don L. Sturzio, Villa Serra; sea direction, Villa Serra, via Don L. Sturzio, via G. Poirè, via Sardorella, via F. Bruzzo (stop 0199 F. Bruzzo 1/Mercato).
Both stops at Via Ferriere Bruzzo provide direct interchange with urban bus lines 7 and 8 in addition to the provincial service lines connecting with the upper Valpolcevera and Valle Scrivia. Given the concomitance, on Sunday 10th of September, of Expo Valpolcevera, the same shuttle will join the two events by connecting the Expo with Villa Serra continuing in the direction of Pontedecimo on the route of line 7 to the terminus in Via Gallino.

🎷🎶 A party enhanced by the live notes of the Louisiana Jazz Club Genova band and the “analog” and 80s djset with vinyl records by Alfredo Boriello Yogi.

🍔🍻 In an area dedicated to street food, food and drinks will be available for purchase.

The protagonists of the area will be:

• Camugin, fried food: chips, anchovies, cheese scones
• Chef Tony, Hamburgers
• Don Cola, Sicilian cuisine
• Tigelleria genovese
• Jaanu, vegetarian, vegan
• Dal Pian, artisan ice cream shop
• Maax Beer, beer and beverage
• Honey Bar, beverage

♻️ All participants can hand in their used clothes, not just jeans, and receive in return as a souvenir of the evening a nice bracelet-gadget offered by “ReChiclo,” made strictly from recycled jeans.
It is the new trend of “refeshion,” the new art of giving new life to used clothes, first of all, of course, jeans garments, because GenovaJeans is not only an event, but a moment to spread the culture of recycling and reuse for the future of the blue planet.

💚 The party, organized with the collaboration of the Liguria Region by the City of Genoa, which together with the municipalities of Serra Riccò and Sant’Olcese forms the “Villa Serra Consortium” that manages the property of the architectural complex, is designed with the support AMIU Genova and Humana People to People Italia, an international nonprofit working in the reuse of textiles. Humana is in the process of placing 346 street containers in the metropolitan city of Genoa for its new service of collecting used clothing, and it is precisely at Villa Serra that it is presenting a preview of the new ecoboxes.

🌿🐰 Also partnering the evening is “Helan Genova,” a company whose mission is to produce natural cosmetics designed and made in harmony with skin physiology, nature, the environment and the animal world.
Jeans Party is open to everyone thus embodying some of the founding values of GenovaJeans: inclusion and participation with an evening dedicated to environmental sustainability related to the responsible production and consumption of one of the most polluting fabrics ever.
The Jeans Party is an event organized by the Villa Serra Consortium under the coordination of events manager Paola Gavoglio together with the City of Genoa, under the direction of GenovaJeans General Curator Anna Orlando, in collaboration with Regione Liguria, the municipalities of Serra Riccò and Sant’Olcese, AMIU Genova, AMT, Farmacie Genovesi, Humana Humana People to People Italia, Helan and Rechiclo.
