A painting performance by Federico Romero Bayter, appointed by the City Council as Genoa’s Talent, accompanied at certain times-from 5 and 8 p.m.-by the musical performance of Andrea Cardinale. The former paints “live” for two days on a large jeans canvas, with his fast technique made of swift brushstrokes and drips of color, a painting that will then be donated to the Civic Collections and destined for the future “published space dedicated to Jeans at Metelino.” The second, a well-known Genoese violinist who is one of the few who knows the entire repertoire of Nicolò Paganini’s Capricci by heart, joins the artist with a performance of the famous Capricci, characterized by an expressionism and modernity that are well suited to the pairing with Bayter’s modes of expression.
