2021 PATHWAY
University Library, which houses the story of the Genoese origins of jeans and their evolution over the
centuries with historical artifacts and multimedia stations. The Library is also home to: lectures, info-point,
ticketing and merchandising.
On Via di Pré meet the showcases where Diesel displays its vision of the future of jeans.
The exhibition “Behind the Seams. How much do you think you know about your jeans?” located in the
Mercato Comunale in Piazza dello Statuto.
At the Museum of the Risorgimento, in addition to Garibaldini’s jeans, the work donated by famous British
jeans artist Ian Berry “Portrait of Giuseppe Garibaldi” paying tribute to the hero of the Two Worlds is on
display.
At the Ducal Palace, the exhibition “DIESEL’s jeans heritage. A walk in its archive” dedicated to legendary
and iconic pieces from the company’s private archive.
At the Diocesan Museum the “Passion Cloths” recognized today as the ancestors of jeans.
The Metelino building hosts “ArteJeans, a Myth in the Wefts of Contemporary Art” an exhibition
showcasing 36 works donated to the city by internationally renowned contemporary artists in preparation
for the future Museum of Jeans.
